A kaleidoscopic rainbow journey into The Self
Wholeness is the objective.
Self Love is the purpose.
The Arts are the tools.
The Shadow is the alchemical challenge, the gold.
Creativity, Compassion, Curiosity and Consciousness are the inner resources.
This is a space of love for humanity where I explore the multidimensional and deeply creative process of becoming oneself. In order to become whole, we must learn to love all the parts, and that means unpacking all that we are and learning how to look, listen, play with and express each piece. Some pieces are deeply buried in the shadows of the unconscious and need to be brought lovingly into the light. And some pieces are already in the light, easier to see, but not necessarily easy to express, or understand.
This is self-actualization, which may sound like a painstaking process, and requires courage and dedication to sit in the unknown and to feel the depth of our feelings, but with the tools I use, it becomes a process of inspiration and revelation. Inner work is challenging, and too-often not valued by the dominant culture, but it is so satisfyingly worthwhile, and not doing this work has a devastating cost on us as individuals, partners, families, communities, and the world.
Self actualization is shadow & light work, which becomes play when we use the tools and practices of expressive arts therapy (visual art, music, dance, drama, writing). Through our authentic expression the process of disintegration and reintegration becomes fun, meaningful and expansive. And as we excavate our inner landscapes with expressive arts tools, we also learn how to tap into our inner resources of compassion, curiosity, creativity and consciousness, itself.
In this space I am sharing my writing, and sometimes visual art and music, as expressions along the path of the kaleidoscopic rainbow to Self. Some are finished pieces, and some are snapshots of my personal process. I am also teaching the diverse tools, methodologies and philosophies I am continuously developing as a human, multimodal artist, counselor, teacher and expressive arts therapist.

to share with compassion, courage and creativity my own artwork and multifaceted process of self-actualization
